In 2014 I established Sweet Potato Pepper™ which focused on making awesome apparel and accessories (for both humans and animals) to raise money and promote awareness of homeless dogs and cats that are in need of being fostered or adopted.
To keep things local and/or sustainable, I worked with SustainU Clothing to cut, sew and print our 100% sustainable t-shirts right here in the USA; they also printed our totebags. Our sweatshirts were printed locally in Brooklyn. Between donating 100% of our sales or donating merchandise for fundraising, over $2000 has been donated to animal rescues such as Sean Casey Animal Rescue, Rebound Hounds Rescue, Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, Survivor Tails Animal Rescue, Zani's Furry Friends, Second Chance Rescue NYC, and Pupstarz Rescue NYC. Sweet Potato Pepper was not affiliated with these rescues, but admired what they do and wanted to help.
Now that most of my stock is depleted, I’ve decided to regroup and try to make the switch over to direct-to-garment printing with possible drop-shipping.
