Our team for the Adam Levine Collection was quite small and resources were limited, so I wore many hats while I was there. Using Photoshop and Illustrator I created simple graphics for knit tops displayed below. One of my favorite aspects of designing is getting to really draw and create imagery, so it was always fun when I had a chance to create the graphics and see them printed up. I once saw a biker chick in Deadwood, SD wearing one of the tanks at the Sturgis Biker Rally - true story! Another time I saw the "SUP" shirt worn on the tv show "You're the Worst" which is on FX.
While working on a freelance project I was tasked with using cartoonist Ralph Bakshi's imagery on a line of cut'n'sew knit tops. Below, I used his licensed artwork to create placement prints and motifs for the prospective line. All the CAD artwork was done in Photoshop and Illustrator. It's a fun challenge to take someone else's imagery and translate it into wearable art.
